Event Identity

EVENT IDENTITY
An identity for Kingston University's MA Fashion show at the Design Museum, London
Kingston University completed 10 years of its fashion department. To mark this success, the department decided to do a fashion show at The Design Museum, London in October 2017. Ten students who were doing their Masters of Arts - Fashion at Kingston University would showcase their collection on the runway. My classmate, Ling Lee and I were in charge of this project from ideation to production while we were doing our Masters at Kingston University.
CONCEPT & PROCESS
Initially, I had designed a poster that showed marks left on one’s body from wearing clothes. Taking this further, we decided to show marks in the form of ‘X’ to represent this event, as it symbolizes 10 in Roman numerals, 10 years of the Fashion department, 10 students that were a part of this event, and 10th month (October) in which the event was going to be held.

The marks were created with the help of rope, clothes, and ribbons on the model. Photographs were then retouched and designed as posters for the event.

POSTER, BROCHURES & E-VITE
A few days before the event, E-invites were sent to the guests. The brochures included details about the students that participated in the show.
THE DESIGN MUSEUM
We collaborated with the museum staff to understand the seating arrangement of the guests and accordingly, we placed the brochures before the event started.
